Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
As Consulting Scheduling Manager for Lockheed Martin and Parsons Corporation on the $350 Million Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), K2 scheduled the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of passenger security checkpoint upgrades at 429 airports in the US and its territories. On this complex, geographically diverse, and high-volume project, K2 utilised specially designed project control software to minimize disruptions to work flow and assure project completion on a “rush” basis; in addition, K2 managed the customer's staff of 12 schedulers.
On this same SASR project, K2 designed a scheduling and production tracking system that enabled the Government (TSA), Lockheed Martin and Parsons Corporation to identify choke points, resolve issues and keep the project moving forward. K2 designed a custom reporting system for schedule performance metrics. This complex government contract was delivered on time and on budget, relying heavily on K2's monitoring and reporting systems.
